About Us

The Founder’s Story

Browzers was founded by Richard Bevan, who spent his early career working
within the world of horse racing — first as a stable lad and later as a National Hunt jockey.

During this time, Richard rode and worked for respected racehorse trainers including
David Nicholson and Captain Tim Forster, gaining first-hand
experience of the sport from the inside. That period provided not only a deep understanding
of racing, but also a lasting appreciation for its history, traditions, and culture.

Alongside his time in the saddle and yards, an interest grew in the printed records of the
sport — race-day programmes, racecards, and ephemera that capture moments in racing history
in a way nothing else can. What began as a personal interest gradually developed into a
focused collection built over many years.

Browzers was created from that foundation: a way to preserve and share original race-day
programmes with fellow enthusiasts, collectors, and those who value the heritage of the
sport.

Today, the aim remains simple — to curate and present authentic pieces of racing history
with care, context, and respect for the sport they represent.
